Access Ramps

Our disabled access ramps provide a safe, stable route over kerbs, thresholds and single steps for wheelchair users, mobility scooters and anyone who finds steps difficult. The range covers lightweight aluminium access ramps and hard-wearing anti-slip GRP access ramps, suitable for homes, shops, offices, schools and public buildings.

Aluminium ramps are portable and foldable, which makes them ideal for temporary or occasional access, while GRP ramps offer a permanent, corrosion resistant surface with a gritted anti-slip finish for wet or high traffic areas. Both help you provide step-free access and support your duties under the Equality Act 2010 and Approved Document M.

Choosing the right ramp comes down to the rise you need to overcome and the space available for the slope. As a guide, a gentler gradient is easier and safer to use: Approved Document M recommends a maximum gradient of 1:12 for the shortest rises, easing to 1:15 or 1:20 over longer runs.
