What sizes do GRP stair nosings come in?
The most common profiles are 55 x 55mm for general steps and 70 x 30mm for shallower or internal step edges. We can cut nosings to your exact step width at no extra charge.
How are stair nosings fixed?
On most surfaces we recommend a double-fix method: a high-strength adhesive plus mechanical screw fixings at each end. Pre-drilled holes make screwing down quick on concrete, timber, metal or stone.
Are stair nosings a legal requirement?
Workplaces must manage slip and trip risks under UK health and safety law, and Building Regulations Part K and Part M call for clearly visible, slip-resistant step edges. High-contrast anti-slip nosings help you comply.
Can I fit them outdoors?
Yes. GRP is corrosion and rot resistant and performs in wet and icy conditions, so the same nosings suit external steps, ramps and walkways.
