Glow Stair Nosing

Fibreglass Glow Stair Nosing or Photo luminescent nosings are an anti-slip nosing with a photo luminescent pigment which is added during the manufacturing process. The pigment then emits a glowing surface in dark conditions which means the edge of the step can be clearly seen to ensure safe evacuation in a fire situation or similar.

The amount of time the nosing will glow for will depend on the time they absorb the light and the brightness of it so they need to be installed where there is light in order to do this. In a typical office where the nosing is subject to a combination of lighting for 8 hours or more a day then they will emit a glow for 1-2 hours.

The main purpose of glow nosing is to highlight the leading edge of new or existing steps or stairs to reduce the risk of trips, slips and falls thus creating a safer environment for your visitors

Available in a profile of 70mm x 30mm for retro fitting. The nosings have a chamfered back edge. Extremely easy to fit simple glue and screw down. We offer a cutting service so you can have any size up to 3000mm. Ideal to be fitted on all step edges even carpeted stairs.

Please note that there is a minimum carriage charge of £17.50 for up to 20kg.
