Our high-quality GRP Grating (also known as Fibreglass Grating) offers a strong, lightweight and corrosion-resistant alternative to traditional steel grating. Mesh & Thickness Options

We supply GRP grating in several mesh patterns and thicknesses to suit different load requirements:

• 25mm & 38mm thickness: 38 x 38 mm square mesh

• 50mm thickness: 50 x 50 mm square mesh

• Available thicknesses: 25mm, 38mm and 50mm

Every panel features an extremely hard-wearing anti-slip grit surface, ensuring reliable traction even in wet, oily or high-traffic conditions.

Fire-Retardant as Standard

All GRP grating panels are manufactured using fire-retardant resins, compliant with BS476: Part 7 (Class 1), meeting safety standards required across many industrial sectors.

Delivery Information

Due to the weight and size of larger panels, please note:

• 38mm and 50mm grating in 3660mm lengths require pallet delivery

• A forklift is required to offload these sizes

• Orders of more than three panels over 2000mm will also arrive via pallet

GRP grating questions answered

How much weight can GRP grating take?

Load capacity depends on panel depth and the span between supports. As a guide, 38mm panels handle pedestrian traffic on typical walkway spans, while 50mm suits wider spans and heavier duty use. Tell us your span and loading when you order and we will confirm the right depth.

Do you cut GRP grating to size?

Yes. We cut every panel to your exact sizes in our own facility, free of charge, so it drops straight into your opening or frame.

What do I fix it down with?

Use our GRP grating fixing clips, sold in packs of 8. They clamp the mesh to the supporting steel or frame without drilling through the panel.

Is GRP grating better than steel grating?

For most walkways, yes. GRP will not rust or corrode, it is non-conductive, around a third of the weight of steel, and it can be cut and fitted on site without hot works permits.
