Our Photo Luminescent Stair Nosings provide a highly effective safety solution for stairways where visibility may be reduced, such as during power failures, fire evacuations or low-light conditions. Manufactured from durable fibreglass (GRP) with a coarse anti-slip surface, these nosings feature a luminescent pigment embedded during production. Once charged by natural or artificial light, the nosing emits a bright glow in darkness, making step edges clearly visible and reducing the risk of slips, trips and falls.

These glow stair nosings are ideal for workplaces, commercial buildings, schools, hospitals and any environment where safe evacuation procedures are essential.

How the Glow Feature Works

The luminescent pigment charges when exposed to light.

Typical performance includes:

• Up to 1–2 hours of glow time after 8+ hours under normal office lighting

• Glow duration depending on brightness and exposure length

  To perform effectively, nosings must be installed where they receive adequate light.
