GRP Stair Riser Plates
Our GRP Stair Riser Plates provide a clean, professional finish to new or refurbished staircases. Manufactured from durable glass reinforced plastic, these riser plates offer a long-lasting alternative to timber or metal and are ideal for commercial, industrial and public environments.
Each riser plate is finished in a smooth gloss black surface with no gritted coating, creating a neat visual contrast when used alongside GRP stair treads or stair nosings. The standard height of 145mm is suitable for the vast majority of staircases and can be easily trimmed on site if required.
Available in four convenient lengths—3000mm, 2000mm, 1500mm and 1000mm—the plates are simple to cut and install, making them a practical choice for both new builds and refurbishment projects.

Stair riser plate questions answered
What height are the riser plates?
The standard height is 145mm, which suits most staircases. The plates can be trimmed on site if your risers are shorter.
Do riser plates have an anti-slip surface?
No. Risers are the vertical face of the step and are not walked on, so the plates have a smooth gloss black finish. This gives a clean contrast with gritted tread covers and nosings.
What lengths are available?
1000mm, 1500mm, 2000mm and 3000mm. Order the nearest length above your step width and cut to size.
What do riser plates go with?
They are usually fitted with our GRP stair tread covers or GRP stair nosings to refurbish a whole staircase in one go.
